On Friday 6pm we are having a Holy Hour which will consist of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction. A Holy Hour is a very beneficial way of spending time with the Lord in front of the Blessed Sacrament, the benefits of which are enormous. This was something that St John Vianney, the Cure de Ars who is the Patron Saint of Parish Priests use to do every day. One day someone asked him what he did in front of the Blessed Sacrament for hours on end, he said well I just sit here looking at Jesus and he sits here looking at me. A Holy Hour has sometimes be called a way to waste time with the Lord, what better way could there be to spend an hour?
